I've been writing suspense fiction thriller style novels for a number of years now. My last couple of books have skirted along the edge of horror. So now I've decided to embrace this and pursue a horror story!
In addition, I thought why not write an erotic horror? This can be a challenge, as the erotic elements need to run true with the horror story and not be seen simply as add on sex scenes. Twenty chapters in, and I think I have accomplished this so far... although of course that will ultimately be for the reader to judge.
Writing about sex without using old cliched jargon is important, as is writing something that has a fresh feel to it - not just the old rumpy pumpy.
While I am not yet at the halfway mark, I feel a degree of renewed enthusiasm embarking on this journey. I'm even already having thoughts of a possible sequel.
